Role Overview
Reporting to Head of Business Solutions, the Integration Engineer will have a direct impact on our cloud-based platform. You will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions and coordinating product integrations in the ipSCAPE
application. You will evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensure that the final solutions meet organisational needs.
The Application Integration Engineer will work with Head of Business Solutions and various stakeholders within the business to ensure that the ipSCAPE product meets client needs and the demands of the market. Stakeholders are often
not technical and may not understand what they want so that’s where you will come in by turning stakeholder needs into technical solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement and maintain internal and external ipSCAPE integrations for and on behalf of clients using common standards and technologies to better support business needs
  • Responsible for end-to-end integrations between cloud-based systems via APIs
  • Where application integration is not supported, build custom integrations using common integration tools, primarily based on Microsoft Azure Cloud toolset
  • Liaise with software and hardware vendors regarding procurement, licensing & support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, reporting, alerts, and billing data where applicable
  • Where application overlap exists, work with the business to ensure that efficient design principles are followed
  • Testing, implementing, and monitoring software integrations to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues
  • Providing escalated (3rd level) technical support for custom integrations, taking the lead on troubleshooting issues working with team members, vendors and clients.
  • Collaborate with other engineers in Technical Operations, Software Development, and Quality Assurance teams to the deliver clearly documented enterprise grade and easily maintainable solutions
  • Support the sales team in helping customers and partners understand what they can achieve with ipSCAPE
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using cloud technology
  • Execute integrated solutions for customers involving complex use cases, collaborating with other ipSCAPE engineering teams as needed
  • Craft technical content to show clients and partners how to implement specific use cases or standard methodologies for new technologies for a developer/technical SME audience
  • Follow industry best practices in regards to architecture, service availability commitments, and cybersecurity
  • Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with ideally 5 years of experience in application integration, with exposure to scripting and automation. You will want to join a fast-growing company and be passionate about driving outcomes for your
stakeholders.

You will have:

  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with Windows and Mac Desktop environments
  • Experience managing and maintaining integrations between SaaS applications
  • Experience providing remote support
  • Experience managing/configuring Office 365/Microsoft 365
  • Experience with integrating applications via a variety of mechanisms, including JavaScript, HTML, other frontend frameworks, mobile (iOS, Android) development, backend (Node.js, PHP) development and IP-based real-time communications
  • Experience in building REST/SOAP integrations with cloud-based applications, especially those in the Microsoft domain (Teams, Graph API’s, Active Directory, Power Platform)
  • Proven experience with build and development tools in a Microsoft Azure environment/paradigm
  • Understanding of OAuth, HTTPS, SFTP.
  • Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python
  • Ability to deliver solutions that comply with best-practice security requirements both client driven and regulatory
  • Ability to solve complex problems with proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Continuous learner always willing to take on a new product or standard
  • Excellent communication skills – can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills for the role

  • Telecommunication/Contact Centre business knowledge
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft interfaces used by business applications (Graph API, Active Directory, etc)
  • Experience Azure Public Cloud deployed solutions and Azure Public Cloud native services
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Power Platform/Power Apps
