ipSCAPE is a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company that offers multi-channel customer experience technology with feature-rich solutions and advanced integration capability. The ipSCAPE platform also leverages AI-based technology and intelligent algorithms at the core of applications such as our Virtual Agent Voice and Predictive Dialler.

Based in North Sydney, ipSCAPE presents a large national presence servicing multiple government and enterprise clients across Australia. In addition, the company has expanded via international partners who distribute ipSCAPE software to clients in over 30 countries throughout Asia and Europe.

You will be working alongside an awesome Technology & Product team, as well as liaising with stakeholders to provide technical workshops for new project proposals, as well as across retained clients for integrations. The development team is split across two agile scrum teams for new and existing clients. There is also the opportunity to grow out and train a team in the future.

Role Overview  

Being a critical role within the team you will provide broad architecture and technology knowledge to a range of projects and initiatives. This role offers a high level of influence across the entire group, as you will provide the strategic architectural direction for ipSCAPE. You will be responsible for providing architectural input, advice and estimates to the engineering team and developing a quality and scalable target state architecture for ipSCAPE.

You will require excellent technical and leadership skills and be able to look at the business strategy and understand how application, information and technology architecture functions come together. You will have the freedom to make your ideas a reality, as you are encouraged to drive innovation, and provide thought and people leadership.

Key Focus:

  • Define a quality and scalable architecture roadmap and target state architecture
  • Contribute to complex solution delivery – review E2E solution design & estimates
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with security and technology standards
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions are delivered as architected and resolving complex L3 issues that arise

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

  • Define a quality and scalable architecture roadmap and target state architecture for ipSCAPE and supporting documentation covering application architecture, integration architecture, infrastructure architecture and security architecture
  • Define and implement solutions within ipSCAPE’s Multichannel CX Product – maximising the use of MS Azure components rather than using open source or custom-built components
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure that solutions as delivered are aligned with the agreed Solution Architectures
  • Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve
  • Research and evaluate potential solutions
  • Ensure developed or modified application components align with the business and solution architecture and meet solution performance goals
  • Balance solution design choices for execution of strategy, cost of ownership, risk, delivery timing and other business or technical constraints to define viable solutions optimised for business value over the life and portfolio of solutions
  • Estimate the cost of end-to-end solutions. Recommend solution choices according to minimal total cost of ownership optimising strategic content and delivery of enterprise roadmap
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture, policies and standards
  • Ensure that technical life cycle management processes are in place
  • Provide Architectural inputs into PI planning
  • Provide L3 technical support, troubleshooting complex platform and application issues
  • Work with internal and external teams to maximise the value they are able to derive from solutions and platforms delivered
  • Coach and mentor software engineers, sharing skills and expertise as well as set a positive example whilst guiding and assisting them through the process to encourage the team to think creatively as well as keep them motivated

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience within Information Technology Architecture & large-scale SaaS Enterprise projects
  • Proven experience and good knowledge of architecting E2E solutions, designing and building applications in a Microsoft Azure environment
  • Experience architecting E2E solutions covering application, data, security and infrastructure
  • Hands on development experience in PHP and API integrations
  • Demonstrated experience in the evaluation of business solutions and technology options
  • Experience with multiple delivery methodologies and architecture frameworks
  • Experience with both packaged and custom build software
  • Experience working with CCaaS products is an advantage
  • Experience working in Agile environments

  • Subject matter expert and proven experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies relating to business architectures
  • Ability to produce the end-to-end solution architecture design and support implementation of initiatives of Microsoft Azure Platform
  • Ability to have good technical understanding of CCaaS, Microsoft Azure IoT Solutions, Power Platform, Digital Engineering Solution are desirable
