As part of a small team in a growing scale-up, these roles play a key part in our growth strategy. ipSCAPE operates in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment that requires flexibility, adaptability, and initiative plus excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. The sales process can last months, so an ability to build and maintain strong relationships & and an active pipeline are crucial requirements for these roles.

Business Development Representative

We are looking for an energetic,  sales-focused and BDR to be responsible for securing meetings and demos for BDM’S. The primary responsibility of this role is Lead Generation (cold calling and nurturing prospects) and the qualification of good quality leads. However, an essential element is a genuine drive to learn quickly and the ability to work well in a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation through Sales blitz (80% of role). Make calls to generate qualified meetings through cold calling, responding to inbound calls, following up with leads generated by various marketing programs, sales campaigns and target account prospecting, media monitoring, searching industry papers and re-engaging prospects.
  • Tele-sales – creating a number of qualified leads and appointments (per month) for the corporate sales team through proactive sales activities such as cold calling, networking, identifying contacts and hunting for opportunities
  • Support the sales process including nurturing leads and constant lead qualification
  • Support the partnership sales process
  • Understand ipSCAPE products, value proposition, and positioning / keep up to date on industry trends and the competition’s positioning within the marketplace
  • Track all lead activity, monitor leads/opportunities, and manage reports using Salesforce
  • Share, learn, collaborate with team members and manager to develop strategies, improve execution and ideas that drive great team results and success.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of sales collateral such a presentations and competitor reference cards
  • Research, create, develop targeted prospect lists

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Contact centre / sales experience would be advantageous but not necessarily required
  • Smart, competitive, energetic, enthusiastic, fearless, highly motivated
  • Keen interest in the SaaS space 

Business Development Manager

We are looking for a passionate, sales-focused and solution-oriented BDM to be responsible for bringing in new business. The primary responsibility of this role is to promote and sell ipSCAPE’s Software as a Service contact centre technology platform. Key tasks include Lead Generation (cold calling prospects), qualification of leads, facilitating product demonstrations and closing deals.

As a BDM, you will be responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of our business and offerings, identifying new business opportunities and coordinating with internal teams such as the sales director, marketing team, product engineering and customer support team to ensure that ipSCAPE’s products are aligned with feedback from the market and to deliver on expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and develop business relationships with potential new clients who might benefit from the purchase of services and products from ipSCAPE and turn these leads into clients
  • Work on possible business opportunities through Tenders
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Research and identify new prospects and commence engagement by cold calling to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Meet potential clients, conduct product demonstrations with planned approaches and pitches and negotiate agreements
  • Develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Negotiate the pricing and implementation of ipSCAPE’s services and products with customers and prospective customers in order to satisfy the needs of the customers and also to deliver the services and goods in a way that is profitable for ipSCAPE
  • Participate in weekly sales blitz activities and Marketing Initiatives to generate new opportunities for ipSCAPE
  • Achieve sales targets to help the company achieve its growth with confidence

Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years of experience in a business development sales role
    • 1 + years of experience selling SaaS products or working in contact center
    • Demonstrated capability to meet & exceed sales targets
    • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders
