Role Overview  

The UX/UI Designer will help create and improve B2B SaaS client applications for both web and mobile experiences. This is a tremendous opportunity to take a product from incubation into Production with the ability to influence the user experience and strategy along the way.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong independent problem-solving skills, self-direction, and innovative thinking coupled with an aptitude and affinity for team collaboration and open communication. This individual is both highly analytical as well as highly creative, and consistently demonstrates superb design, writing and presentation skills. This individual will foster collaboration both inside and outside the company, evangelizes and promotes UX within the company, and can juggle several high-level projects while delivering A-level work on all of them.

This individual must be able to confidently justify design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies. You should have a meticulous eye for detail and understand how users think when they use software. If you understand how design is used to solve business problems; if you understand the needs of developers to properly implement what you produce, then you can have the opportunity to add great value to the ipSCAPE team. Creative design experience is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product management and development teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, user interface and experience
  • Designing usable, accessible, and engaging user experiences for mobile and web based on research and best practices
  • Rapid creation of building storyboards, user flows, wireframes, working prototypes or mock-ups for demonstration purposes and communicating design ideas
  • Participating in defining and driving strategic direction from a user experience perspective
  • Taking a product from the POC/Incubation phase into an enterprise-level paid service
  • Influencing cross-functional product teams and the organization to achieve solutions that are right for our customers and adhere to the product vision
  • Present design concepts to Senior Leadership and external partners
  • Creating responsive designs and iterate on designs across multiple projects at the same time
  • Conducting user research with target users and business stakeholders
  • Solving problems creatively and effectively
  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to hand-off to development
  • Reviewing and validate designs with product management
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop creative content that provides branding for existing and new online products

 Your Background

  • 3+ years of professional Product Design experience in interaction, visual design designing SaaS applications
  • Proficiency with Figma and Sketch.
  • Solid working knowledge of best design practices and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience building a Design System
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the entire cycle of UX UI process, including conduct user research, competitor analysis, visual research, interprets data and qualitative feedback to create user stories, user personas, storyboards and sitemaps with structured Information Architecture; develop wireframing and prototyping; optimise the system, user interface and user experience based on user feedback and usability testing
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process and end-to-end design work
  • Start-up experience or mentality. Ability to jump in where needed and expand the role and work directly with engineers when needed
  • Able to design autonomously in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Ability to own your design, communicate your process and present your work
  • Stay abreast on design trends, technologies, and best practices
  • You’re extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Understanding of user-centred design, and the ability to empathise with our customer
  • Able to demonstrate experience in applying WCAG 2.0
  • Ability to give and grow from constructive feedback
